After taking all of my stuff apart for Phoenix Improv Festival, then putting it back together without the hissy preamp, I still have some sound issues to work out. But we’re back to the looped synth & drums and all that. Hope you like it!

Scaling back to only guitar sounds, no synth or percussion, results in a brooding, Pink Floyd-like thing. Unfortunately, a miscalculation of dynamics on my part put a nasty hiss into most of the recording. Sorry about that.
I mentioned Phoenix Improv Festival in the intro, but forgot to give the URL, which is http://phoeniximprov.com/pif. If you’re in the area, come see the shows! I’m playing with The Remainders on Thursday night and Apollo 12 on Friday.

I hope it’s okay if this one’s extra long (10.1 MB), to make up for how long it’s been since the last one. More consistency in the future, I sincerely hope.
I’ve asked for general feedback before, but now I have more specific questions, such as: do you care how big the file is, and/or how long the recording is? Would you care to have some sort of warning if it’s large like this one? This one’s big because there are two improvs in it: better or worse than putting them in two separate files? If I’m longer than a week between recordings, would you rather I post to let you know I haven’t forgotten, or is it just a bother for your RSS reader to retrieve a new entry with no music in it? As I’ve said many times, there’s not much I can change about the music (it’s rarely in my control even while playing it), but if there’s anything you’d like to see improved about the formatting or presentation, please let me know.
Sorry for the delay — 9 days and counting doesn’t sit right with me even if nobody is asking. I was prepared to record another one on the 8th, but a grotesque hiss has appeared in my equipment and, due to film scoring project, I haven’t been able to work on removing it. I hope to be able to do so and get a new recording online within the next few days. Thanks for bearing with me.
I’m unemployed now, but instead of using the time to record more improvs I hope to spend more time practicing between improvs, in hopes (among other things) of improving what I’m able to do when I am improvising. So anyway, probably still once a week for a while longer. Not that anyone’s complaining; guess I should stop explaining this, huh?
